This Privacy Policy explains how Kwabi Games Ltd (“we”, “us”, “Kwabi Games”) handles information when you use FaceOff FM (the “Game”), available on the web and as a mobile app. We have built FaceOff FM to collect as little personal information as possible.

The short version: FaceOff FM does not require you to create an account, does not ask for your name, email, or password, and does not use advertising or behavioural tracking. The only things we store are the display name you choose, any photos you choose to add, and your in-game activity for a battle.

1. Information we collect

FaceOff FM uses anonymous sign-in. We do not collect real names, email addresses, phone numbers, or passwords. When you play, the following may be processed and stored:

An anonymous player ID — automatically generated to keep your session and room membership working. It is not linked to your real identity.
A display name — the nickname you type to join a room. Please do not use your full real name if you prefer to stay anonymous.
Photos you choose to add — if you add a profile photo or a mixtape/set cover image, that image is uploaded and stored so other players in your room can see it. Adding a photo is always optional.
Gameplay data — the songs you select, the room code you join, votes, ratings, and emoji reactions during a battle.

2. How we use this information

We use the information solely to run the Game: to place you in a room, sync the battle between players in real time, display avatars and covers, count votes, and show results. We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or marketing, and we do not sell it.

3. Music previews

Song search and 30-second previews are provided through the Apple iTunes Search API. When you search for a song, your search term is sent to Apple to return matching results. We do not receive or store your Apple account information.

4. Where your data is stored

FaceOff FM uses Google Firebase (Firestore and Cloud Storage) to store game data and uploaded images. Firebase is operated by Google; its handling of data is governed by Google’s privacy practices. Data may be processed on servers located outside your country.

5. Children’s privacy

FaceOff FM is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond the minimal gameplay data described above, and we do not use behavioural advertising or tracking of any kind. If you are a parent or guardian and would like a child’s display name or uploaded photo removed, contact us using the details below and we will delete it promptly.

6. Sharing

We do not sell or rent your data. Limited information is shared only as needed to run the Game: with other players in your room (your display name, avatar, song picks and votes are visible to them as part of play), and with our infrastructure providers (Google Firebase for storage, Apple for music search). We may disclose information if required by law.

7. Data retention & deletion

Gameplay data for a battle (votes, reactions, room state) is transient and is cleared as rooms end or are recycled. Uploaded images and display names persist until removed. To request deletion of any information associated with you or a child, email us and we will action it.

8. Your choices

You can play without adding any photo.
You can choose a nickname that does not identify you.
You can request deletion of your uploaded images or display name at any time.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest version.
